Plate magnets are commonly used in the recycling industry, to purify, protect or transport. Built with Neodymium magnets, it creates extremely powerful magnetic fields, high intensity and the design will be compact.

Intended use and applications:

Recycling industry
were it attract ferrous particles like iron from products for instance while hanging above a conveyor belt. Such magnet can become part of an overbelt magnetsystem for the recycling industries like wood, IBA (incineration bottom ash), brick, plastic, household waste and lots of other industries.

Upgrading and cleaning
the material flow from ferrous contamination. The magnet can be placed horizontally, incline or vertical (free flow). Such magnet can best be placed as near to the material flow as possible and can become part of an integrated system. Grain, wood, sugar, chocolate, for instance in the feed or process industry.

Protection
of equipment downstream: wear and damage can be delayed or prevented with the right magnet on the right spot.

Magnetic transport
plate magnets can also be used for magnetic transport, like can lines, in tyre production, lids, sheet separators, scrap conveyors etcetera.
Design specifications to consider:
- Airgap, dimensions, shape (like curved) and direction of the material flow.
- Required force and pole configuration (normal North-south, semi Halbach or full Halbach array), weakening magnetic fields for easy cleaning.
- External influences: temperature, dry-wet or humidity, expected impact.
- Cleaning mechanism: the iron entrapped must be removed from the magnet. There are several system to do this.
